My name is Alexis Chew, a designer, student, environmental activist and storyteller based in California.

My decision to study the environment, technology, and human interaction at the University of California, Santa Barbara was driven by a deep interest in people, a love for universal patterns, and a commitment to hearing and uplifting the voices of those often unheard.

MY Experience

MY Experience

Crafting my own interdisciplinary education by combining my environmental background with design has been a gradual process of learning and collaboration.

Through various roles—whether with nonprofits, an architecture firm, student-run design agencies, sustainability @ a tech company—I’ve sought guidance from professionals, joined projects, competitions, and embraced every chance to design for a purpose.

Always looking for opportunities to help out, learn, grow, or just have a chat!

what's next?

I’m seeking full-time product design opportunities where I can apply my expertise in visual design, sustainability, and strategic thinking, while embracing opportunities to learn, grow, and explore innovative challenges in the field.

I would love to work on any project related to human connection and social justice, or to bridge the perceived gap between humans and nature by designing solutions that foster deeper connections and understanding.

Outside of design, learning, and teaching, I love hiking with my dog Milo, rock climbing, identifying plants, cooking different cuisines, making clothes, and listening to music like LCD Soundsystem and Kraftwerk.

Thanks for reading this far — I’d love to chat about any of these or explore how we can collaborate!
